How does mobile
grooming work? Do
you use warm water?
Mobile grooming is just like shop grooming, except the shop comes to you.
Avalon Mobile Grooming has all the amenities you'd expect to find in a
shop: climate control, bathtub with hot and cold running water, dryers,
clipper-vac grooming system, etc. Our van only needs to have access to an
electrical outlet to be able to run the clipper and blow dryer. These
appliances are normal voltage and will not overload your circuit breaker.
Can I take a tour
of your van? Yes,
we give all our clients a tour. We are proud of our spotless "spa!"
All grooming tools and surface areas are cleaned and sterilized after each
use. We use disinfectants recommended by veterinarians that kill both
bacteria and viruses.
How long does the
grooming take? Typically
grooming takes about an hour to an hour and a half, but it can vary
depending on the coat, breed, and the temperament of your pet.
Is Avalon Mobile
Grooming more expensive?
When all the amenities are considered: gentle one-on-one professional
grooming, time saved, comfortable stress-free environment, premium
products, etc. Avalon Mobile Grooming is a much better value.

When are you
available?
Appointments are scheduled Monday through Saturday between the hours of
9:00am and 3:00pm. During the busy holiday season I work later to
accommodate our clients.
What area do you
service? I have
clients in Milton, Pace, Gulf Breeze, Navarre, Pensacola and Cantonment.
If you live outside this general area, give me a call and we will discuss
the possibilities.
Do you accept
after hour appointments?
Yes, for a small additional
charge.
What is included
in the full grooming?
I bathe and condition your pet using
the FURminator Shedless Solution with all baths. It can reduce shedding
65-85%. After blow drying your pet, I follow your
instructions on the style of trim desired. Oral treatment, nail trimming/filing,
cleaning ears, and expressing scent glands are also included in a full
grooming. We also offer min-grooms and

Do all dogs need
grooming? All
dogs need an occasional bath and it is important to keep your dog combed
and brushed especially if your pet has long hair. Matted hair can cause
skin problems and if neglected for too long, it can eventually necessitate
a lengthy grooming session. Regular grooming, will make your pet healthier
and more attractive.
What is your
background/experience?
I worked as Veterinary Technician, for 16 years. After seeing the need for
a more personal, caring, mobile pet grooming service, I decided to create

Do you groom cats?
Yes, we often do the popular "Lion cut" for summer.
I'd like my dog
groomed on a regular schedule can you set that up?
Yes we'd be happy to; we can leave you an appointment card and even give
you a reminder call.
How often should
my dog be groomed?
About 65% of our clients are
groomed every other week, about 15% weekly and the remainder monthly.
Doesn't frequent
bathing dry out the coat?
No, we've never seen dry
skin or coat because of frequent bathing. Most Veterinarians recommend
that pet be bathed more often when they get dry or itchy skin.
